FAQ

Pre-Wax Checklist

  • Hair should be at least ¼ inch long. That’s about the length of a grain of rice.
  • Don’t apply creams, lotions, or gels to area being waxed the day of your appointment.
  • Don’t sunbathe 24 – 48 hours before or after your treatment.
Tanning before treatment can cause skin to lift. Because waxing exfoliates the skin by removing the top layer of dead surface skin cells, you’re more likely to experience sunburn. If you are going to go in the sun within 48 hours of waxing, we recommend wearing a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more.
  • If you have a low pain tolerance, take an aspirin or ibuprofen 30 min prior to you appointment.
  • Wear comfy undies, you don’t want super tight clothing irritating your freshly waxed sweet spot.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND

Title

Hair grows in 3 stages and it can take up to 4 waxing treatments before all of the hair is on the same growth cycle, thus all come out together. Your first wax may not remove all the hair, it may last only one week, it may last up to three – it just depends on your own genetics, how recently and often you’ve shaved, and how well you do at preparing the skin before the wax and taking care of the skin between your treatments. Don’t be discouraged if your hair doesn’t stay gone too long the first few times. The more you wax the longer it will last. However, if your last hair removal was shaving, your first wax post shaving will not last as long. Please don’t shave in between waxing appointments!
